Lip Fillers: Lip Augmentation and Rejuvenation

What are lip fillers? How do they help with rejuvenation and augmentation of the lips?

Augmentation or rejuvenation of the lips using lip fillers is a type of surgical or non-surgical procedure that improves and rejuvenates the appearance of the lips.

As the years go by, the skin around the mouth and the lips can wrinkle and lose volume. Lip fillers and lip rejuvenation surgery can most specifically help those who have smoked in the past and have deep lines leading outwards from the lips into the surrounding skin – what is known as “smoker’s lines”.

There are many types of lip rejuvenation that work to either plump or improve the appearance of your lips. Your plastic surgeon will outline your options and explain the advantages and disadvantages of each type of procedure upon your initial consultation.
